Description
This package consists of a set of readings of Early English texts. The texts are divided into three Sections: Section A (Old English Texts), Section B (Middle English Texts) and Section C (Early Modern English Texts). However, it should be noted that texts spanning the transition between OE and ME, and between ME and EModE, are also included. For pedagogic reasons, the editorial principles adopted vary from text to text, and between sections.
Texts are drawn for the most part from standard editions and readers, with some modifications and emendations to enable them better to serve the purposes of beginners. Some in Section C are drawn from early printed books contemporary with the authors.

This app has been updated by Apple to display the Apple Watch app icon.
User interface tweaks throughout. Audio player now features the duration and allows jumping to a selected point. Contents page lists and navigation links are now buttons rather than text links to make tapping them easier.

Fantastisk...
I wish I could say this in Old English but I can't... Instead I will use my dad's mother tongue and say we think this app is fantastisk (Fantastic in Norwegian). My dad & I are determined to try and learn some Old English during the coming long, dark nights of winter (He currently speaks six languages and is learning a seventh, Japanese!). Thanks to those responsible for giving us this brilliant app. 👱👨👏👏👏👏👏
