Description

Sync is the best way to transfer files between your Mac, PC, NAS, and even server.

Create your own private cloud. Connect devices and sync files securely without sending them on third-party servers. We don’t limit your speed or storage space: our technology works especially well with huge files.

No storage limits
• Sync as much data as you have on your hard drives.

Automatic camera backup
• Sync will back up photos and videos as soon as you take them.
• You can then delete photos from your phone and save space.

Direct transfers, no cloud
• Your information is never stored on servers in the cloud, so nobody can access it without your permission.
• Transfer files directly and fast using peer-to-peer technology (p2p).

Any device and platform
• Access folders and upload files to your tablet, PC, Mac, NAS, and even server.

Supports all file types
• Add photos, videos, music, docs, and PDFs from other apps to any of your synced folders.

Save space
• Selective Sync lets you save only the files you need.

To get the best performance and to avoid running up your data charges while syncing folders, we recommend leaving the "Use Cellular Data" setting off.

Almost perfect

Well I’ve been using it for about 3 years and I’m generally very happy with it. The only inconvenience I have is the PIN password access should be modified to allow the user to set a PIN timeout if they want it. When I have synced several PDFs and want to share them all (Open In) to iBooks it is already a chore because of the way iOS isolates everything. So when I’m doing this 20 times and each time I have to keep reentering my PIN this is a nightmare. The app should allow me to set a timer like “Don’t require PIN when returning to app within X seconds” if user was sharing a file. Something like that. Apps like Telegram Messenger have a similar sort of implementation

Generally happy

I’ve been using this app/system for some years now on a variety of devices, and I’m generally very happy. As others have said, it does what it says on the tin.

My one issue with the iPad app is that if a folder is removed from the device, and then later re-added, it cannot be re-added with the same name. This is particularly annoying, as I can’t find the folder with the old name anywhere, so it is stuck this way. It would be great to see this fixed!

It does what it says on the tin

So long as you organise your folders properly the free version of this works a treat for most things including Netgear NAS boxes. There is a bit of a learning curve for initial setup so suggest you experiment with a folder you have a copy of before rolling out to anything else. Not 5 stars simply because of the initial learning curve.
