Notifications don’t work properly offline

Hi, it appears that if I view the first notification on the lock screen and tap ‘take’ when my phone is on airplane mode or not connected to the internet then the second notification is still displayed. This might sound quite specific but I think a lot of people use airplane mode overnight and the risk is that we end up taking medication twice.
It looks like the notification type you are using requires an internet connection to inform the app when the user taps ‘take’. I’m guessing this is because you want to sync notifications between multiple devices which is great but I think it’s more important that it works reliably on a single device.
Hope you can fix this problem, thanks.

p.s. in case you’re wondering I don’t leave my phone on charge at night (instead I charge it at work where I can keep the battery level between 20-80% and thereby keep my battery health at 100% so I don’t need a new phone/battery after 18 months) so I leave it on airplane mode to conserve power at night. Although I know a lot of people use airplane mode instead of ‘do not disturb’ mode or instead of a tin foil hat!

When your life doesn’t follow a timetable…

…but your medicine requires you to then this is a helpful tool both to keep you safe and to help give you more peace of mind. I take a pill a day and it’s a relatively forgiving thing yet still I find this a godsend. I know for many people western medicine today has people almost rattling with pills with complex patterns around when they must be taken. Personally I think that says something about the state of current western medicine and the way we live our lives as a society. However things being as they are and this being viewed as a matter of life and death in some cases, for the people who want to do their best to follow the orders of doctors whose authority they respect, I imagine that this and a pillbox are helpful tools. Of course, setting a daily alarm on your phone could also work. Or, thinking further, why not link your pill taking to a daily activity you are confident you do every day. Like brushing your teeth. Or meal time. In other words it’s useful if you want this tool but there’s other ways to achieve the same result that don’t require you to place ever more reliance on your phone. Yes. I think I’ll do that. Thanks for the app, it helped a lot, but I am deleting it now. Thank you 🙏🏼

Great

Does exactly what you need it to do, remind you when to take and which medication should be taken. My only criticism, is towards the push notifications, which are a great idea in principle, being able to acknowledge that you have taken your medication, without opening the phone or app. However, the push notifications only remind you that you have ‘A’ medication to take, but it does not state which medication is to be taken, so you still have to open the app to view the medication in question. Granted, this would only be a problem if you have multiple doses which need taking around similar times. Constructively, it would be great if the push reminder, stated which medication it was intended to remind you of. Overall, I love this much needed app, as I either forget to take my medication or, as most do, need a reminder to say what time I actually took the last dose.
