Description
The RX Connect app is the mobile cockpit of your Riese & Müller E-Bike with RX Chip.
The app connects you directly to your Riese & Müller bike if you have booked an RX Service. This allows you to check the location at any time and receive automatic ride statistics.
Optionally, you can activate the digital alarm for your bike: If it is touched or moved, you will receive a push notification. Depending on the bike model, the alarm can also be customised.
The app provides access to specialist dealers in your area as well as all data in the My Bike service portal.
When location services are activated on your smartphone or when connected to an Urban Line model via Bluetooth, the app becomes a digital speedometer on the handlebars of your bike.
Notes on using the app:
/ Your Riese & Müller bike must be equipped with an RX chip to use the functions.
/ A free My Bike account and a booked RX Service are required. Registration and booking at: www.r-m.de
/ Riese & Müller bikes produced from 2017 onwards can be registered for Mein Bike. All bikes with an RX chip registered there can then be displayed in the app.
/ Agree to the tracking of your bike for use. You can revoke your consent at any time.
/ Activate push notifications to be able to use the digital alarm.
/ Allow location tracking so that the map can show your current surroundings.
/ For UBN bikes: Establish a Bluetooth connection to your bike to use the full range of functions.

Doesn’t work with Ride 60
I’ve had my R&M UBN for 5 months now and this app still does not work with the bike. How long is it going to take to develop the app to work with FAZUA Ride 60
Buggy mess
This app has been recently updated. It was a mess before and it is somehow even worse now. Abysmal. Riese & Müller, this should be embarrassing for you.
Speed displays on map screen, but the map doesn’t.
Bike randomly appears to be 40 km away, when it’s actually downstairs in the garage
Can’t lock the bike using the padlock icon - it’s completely unresponsive
Still doesn’t record entire journeys, regularly cutting about 10% off
There is a button to stop recording a tour, that doesn’t work either.

A quick update on the bugs with the 2.1.1 version: We were able to fix the cause of the freezing of padlock icon, map and stop-recording-button without an app-update. To further enhance the performance we also have an app release ready, but can currently not release it due to a technical issue with the Appstore platform. We are already in contact with the Apple Support and will release the Update as soon as possible. We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused.
Regarding your other comments, I hope this feedback helps: When the bike is in an environment where there is little to no GPS coverage, sometimes inaccurate positions are transmitted. We are constantly working on improving the filtering and display of such positions to avoid confusion.
Regarding the length of the trips, we are working hard to improve our algorithm and have already achieved a good performance increase with the last release. Based on your description of where you store your bike, it is very possible that the RX chip loses the GPS signal while standing, and therefore it may take a few minutes for the RX chip to reconnect when you start your ride. We are aware of this shortcoming and are working on compensating this issue.

Doesn’t work with Fazua ride 60
I’ll echo the other review from over a year ago - nothing at all in the app seems to work with my UBN 5
