Simply the best

This is an update to my initial misguided review. I have finally come to my senses. No more searching, no more criticising and comparing. I wouldn’t blame a guitar for not being a drum. In the same way I wouldn’t blame Samplr for not being any other app. Rationally speaking , why and what would I compare it to? This is as enjoyable as it gets on IOS for me. I appreciate I send emails and go the internet with my IPad , but this is as close as it gets to to an instrument in itself on IOS. Just play it, have fun and don’t want for more!

Developer Response ,

Hi. You can record your own samples using the iPad microphone. You can also import them using copy and paste from other apps, you can use Files, there’s a folder called “Samplr” in your “On My iPad”. You can also import from Dropbox or from an app called Audioshare.

Timeless classic

This app is iconic and has stood the test of time like no other. I’ve used it almost everyday since release.
One feature I would love to see added is the ability to send each of the 6 samples to individual outs into apps such as Aum, or over a multichannel usb interface.
Thank you for creating this incredible app!

Good partner to other synths

Samplr is a good tool to use with clips that you’ve made with other synths, or found sounds, or downloaded samples. Samplr allows you that spontaneous freedom to play, rather than to program. You get what you pay for and this is worth every cent, neatly designed, well crafted, lots of fun.
