Scriptic Netflix Edition 17+

I was a bit confused at first about how this linked to Netflix, which initially put me off as I presumed I’d have to do it while watching something on TV.
A good variety of stories, pretty user friendly, and overall a good pastime for lazy days when you’ve ran out of things to watch.

If I had to criticise anything, I think the app would be better with a pause feature on long dialogues- particularly in interrogations. The app auto scrolls down to the bottom which, initially, feels more immersive. However, if you get distracted by a notification or have to respond to something off-screen it’s very difficult to read to catch up while new dialogues are coming through.

When I first came across this on the Netflix menu I randomly thought let’s give this a try. Immediately on starting this I was startled by the level of realism and how….. actually won’t give spoilers. It’s just a realistic insight into today’s crime investigation using cellular technology. However, every single chapter of Redman and sometimes more than once a chapter, this save game bug crept up. Losing loads of progress and having to replay segments over and over. The app could not get a handle of when or where to save, you couldn’t definitely select offline save or clouds save as choosing both would mess up. It’s a testament to how fantastic this game was to play that I actually got to chapter 5 before this bug did my head in enough to stop. I could have played ten chapters the amount of time I had to repeat sections, lose my flow in the investigation process and sometimes be forced into making a choice I wouldn’t have picked in order to progress because the saved data wasn’t up to date. Please fix the bugs so that others don’t experience this relentless bug. Otherwise chaps, I think you have made the most enjoyable experience I have had on my iPhone. Thank you!

Firstly, I have genuinely really enjoyed this game, I am currently “investigating” the first story and finding it really interesting. It is easy to use and looks good.

However, there are parts that just seem a bit wrong to me in the storyline, I seem to be disclosing all sorts of confidential information about the investigation to friends of the victim through a chat app which seems very unrealistic. It doesn’t ruin the game but does impact on my immersion.

Secondly, and the biggest issue is that the game is buggy, it reset part of my progress recently so I had to redo it (seems to have issues saving). I also often have no options to do anything for a long period of time. Episode 3 of the first story I just had to skip past in the end as it would not progress so I started episode 4 with no idea what had happened.
