Mediocre app
Classic cynical system design from a beaurocracy. See trying to ‘create an account’ to claim the vouchers ? Obviously that costs some funny money budget somewhere so ‘discouragement via process yet gather data at the same time’ is the real order. Let me describe. Firstly several pages of ‘captcha’ pics must be waded through until eventually a UID/password setup is offered. Email provision and mobile number required too naturally. You must accept the T&Cs to progress. Don’t click to actually read the T&Cs or you’ll bomb out right back to the pages and pages of ‘captcha’ part of the process.
There you go ! Vouchers remain safe, email and phone harvest done and photo recognition AI data provided! That’s genius in a way. Also the App throws a wobbly if not constantly updated. The App is Needy and Greedy and Sinister but it sort of works especially in the Apartheid Certificate provision.

Non Australian mobile number?
Covid safe check in seems OK in principle but I’m visiting from overseas but it now doesn’t seem to accept my non-Australian mobile number. I’ve been out of State and the last time I was here on 12 January it seemed fine. Confused.

If you have created a Service NSW account, please try logging out and using guest check-in instead. This is utilised by selecting COVID Safe Check-in whilst logged out. Thank you.
Can’t create accounts
Deleted app and reinstalled, doesn’t let you create an account.

Please email mobileapp@service.nsw.gov.au along with the device type and email you use to login to the app. In the meantime, you can use the guest check-in and proof of vax from the medicare app. thank you for your patience.
