Great system but room for improvement

On the whole the app works great..... however despite everything being connected and working the notification in the bottom left continually says “Shopify 985 disconnected”.
When using the barcode function, the app continually reverts to the back camera and I can’t set it to only use the front facing camera.
When exchanging goods, there’s no option to apply a discount to the new option to match discounts on the original purchase.
Finally, I can accept store credit as a payment option, but there is no option upon processing a return, to print a credit note if you do not accept returns for refund.
All in all though, great app and have recommended to other business owners.

Hi Njlangley88, thanks for providing great feedback! Regarding your connectivity page, it sounds like one of the card readers is not connected. We suggest forgetting it from your devices bluetooth settings, and POS app, then attempt to connect again. By default, the camera is back facing as it is easy to scan barcodes below the device. With discounts, once you add the exchanged item to the cart you can apply a line item discount! Here is how: https://help.shopify.com/en/manual/sell-in-person/shopify-pos/discount-management/line-item-discount. Store Credit is no longer an option on the All New POS. We suggest refunding to gift card instead, since this is a trackable value! Missing pick up in store

Would be 5* except with a major missing piece of functionality. The developers have recognised that someone may be in store and want an item shipped at a later date. Great! But there is no functionality to create an order and for the customer to pick up I store at a later date! Missed piece - needs fixing

Hey there Orv5995, that is wonderful feedback, glad you are enjoying the 'ship to customer' feature. With the feedback you have shared, we do have a few options. A great feature on POS Pro is the option to save a cart, this allows you to start up an order and the customer can return later to resume the sale and pick up their item. Another option could be in the Shopify Admin, we have the 'Local Pickup' feature. This would allow customers to purchase online and then pickup later in store. What have you done?

The POS app was never perfect but it definitely did everything we needed and generally worked well.

However, since this new app it’s all going wrong. The WisePad card readers are really struggling to connect. We have been having to manually reset them using a paper clip and reinstall the app multiple times. This is happening across the whole company with 5 different iPad and card reader combos. We have now lost a number of sales because we can’t get them to connect.

The customer details are also sometimes gutting stuck, when we have added a customer after a sale to the order it is staying in the cart and applying to the next transaction. This lead to a couple of receipts being sent to the wrong customer which was very embarrassing.

The app also looks a lot worse now, on the larger iPad pros it has become very pixelated and everything looks ballooned.

I would revert back to the previous update in a heartbeat. Please fix as this is now getting quite serious.
