Sketchbook‪®‬ 4+

I use to have this app on my phone and I loved it, however I did find it really hard to use. I recently just downloaded it on my I pad and it’s amazing. You can easily draw shapes, write/draw over an image, and even highlight words! At the moment I am enjoying using this app to draw mandalas, as there is a tool which copies your work into sections so they are so much easier to draw. I also used this to complete a worksheet I needed to complete for school. Not only was I able to write down my answers perfectly in the space given, but I was able to highlight the key terms needed to help me answer my questions. There are many tools, each one perfect for a different thing, including a pencil tool, a pen tool, multiple paintbrush tools (watercolour brush, solid painting brush etc) and many more which can all be changed in size, opacity and some even in texture. Perfect for any budding artist, casual drawer, or anyone working from home😊

This app is honestly great, I make all of my art here and it is generally good. I have an easy time finding all of the brushes and even though the layout is a bit fiddly at first I got it and could use all of the features after about a week.
A few issues i have with this however are:
-When I use the time lapse feature it deletes the time lapse and doesn't save it when i tell it to. This has been an issue since I was accused of tracing and attempted to use it to disprove that.
-The app can’t handle large brushes without lagging
-Sometimes when using the predictive stroke it just completely stops working for a few seconds and sometimes even crashes the app. This also deletes some of the drawing I have done.
-When copying and pasting sometimes little random pixels come up, as well as blurring too. It would be fine if every time i had to use this I wanted a pink and green glitch effect but I don’t so this isn’t a very good aspect.

In all I can see through these things and tell that it is and amazing app but the time lapse problem is pretty bad and i don’t exactly want to delete the app and loose all of my drawings on it only to re download it to get it working again, so I hope some of these things can be fixed.

I’ve been using this app for 3 years now on the same device (iPad Pro), a few bugs every now and then but those were never an issue, it was honestly AMAZING. The problem now is that (this has been happening more and more often now), frequently the app crashes, again, not very much of a problem. But when it crashes and you open the app, ALL OF YOUR LAYERS EXCEPT THE FIRST ONE ARE GONE. IT HAPPENED TO ME RIGHT NOW AND I’M BALLING. I was so so proud of the drawing i was making until it suddenly froze and crashed, i opened it up only to see the first sketch layer all messed up, inverted, and just in general a complete mess. PLEASE, fix this! This is one of the reasons i want to buy Procreate, i’ve heard amazing things about it and i also can’t find any other good free drawing apps other than ibis paint x but thats not really my type. Please, i’m begging you to fix this issue, that’s my only problem. That’s the only reason I’ve knocked out 3 stars from this rating.
