New Fave, Awesome Slicey Dicey Roguelike!

Loving this game! Quite easy to pick up along with optional hints, though the UI can be a little hard to read if your screen isn’t too big - but you can go into landscape mode. Seems like loads to unlock like different heroes, items, achievements and modes to figure out with a really impressive range of settings and configurations. If you’re into roguelikes such as slay the spire I think this will be for you. Also love that there’s an undo button for my indecisiveness haha

Awful UI

It’s a cool idea but it’s hindered by things not being adequately communicated and things are confused For instance if you hold down on an enemy they will show who they're attacking but the lines are different colours, why are they different colours, the colours are for the class of hero, does it make a difference? It might do but it’s not communicated, I don’t know if they lack all sense of UX in one way or lack it in another You’re rolling dice and the tutorial is in the way? Well you can close it but oops it seems to prefer tapping dice over the x and now you’ve got a dud die, now it would be dumb if the game didn’t let you put the die back… oh wait when you tap it you’re stuck with it. Well if you were to tap the x on the tutorial to see the die underneath you’ll find an option to close it, close it for good, and close it, hmm that feels familiar The developer should hire a UX person to overhaul the game. The game itself is neat, it’s new, I like the item system, I like the classes, I like the possible rolls, I just really really hate the UI and it’s stopping me from wanting to play again The game is free to try, so do give it a go, just hope that in the future the UI is fixed and it doesn’t make you think “ah they went with pixel graphics because they thought it would be the easiest option”

Portrait mode is also available for this fantastic game

This is my favourite roguelike game for iPhone by a long way, every single aspect of this gem is perfectly executed and a prime example of what really makes a great mobile game - you pick it up, instantly fall in love with it and intuitively grasp the game’s mechanics through your first few turns. I can’t stress enough how awesome this game really is and if you’re tempted by a new roguelike then pull the trigger as you won’t be disappointed.

First iOS review, thanks so much!
