1. You must make a first deposit of at least £10/€10 in a single amount to be eligible for the new customer welcome offer.

Very very impressive
The app is brilliant. It’s quick, slick and very easy to navigate - and bug free so far. There are roughly as many in-play football games to choose from as Betfair and so far they’ve paid out instantly; and that’s not something I can say for the other Exchanges. The liquidity is increasing all the time and there is much much more than Betdaq and Matchbook.

I've added a star to my review as there have been numerous changes since I first rated. The best thing is the landscape mode, this was my number one request so I'm very happy to see it implemented. I think the developers have made good use of this mode too.
This means I now have a new number one request. I'd really like trading to be easier on Smarkets. For this to happen we need two things; the ability to use independent software, like bet angel etc & more, much more liquidity. I expect liquidity would improve rapidly once that software exists as along with the low commission rate, the ability to trade quickly and automatically would bring the traders flocking from elsewhere.
The constant upgrades to the app & the site gives me confidence that Smarkets is here to stay. Onwards!

Poor customer service, slow app
I want to start by recommending users to try the competition. Matchbook have a great app, new feature and a responsive customer service team. Betfair, as expected, have a strong team and a very good app. Smarkets will consistently let you down.
Understandable that there are new betting regulations and so more know your customer checks have to happen, however Smarkets is incredibly inefficient. There have been a number of times where they have taken a week to respond, only to ask for the same documents that I had sent that week before. This, combined with the loss of access to deposits and other features, can mean that you lose access to your account for months at a time (I have been in the process for over a month now and it is still not sorted, and know someone else with the same experience). There is also no good feedback system, I have requested to talk to managers and report the awful service but these requests are left blank.
I am unsure who is responsible within the team for the severe lack of competence, however I have the names of the people who frequently send the same request back and so would expect management to contact me to get rid of the bad apples.
App loses functionality after a bit of usage and gets really slow.
