What a great app for people with disabilities

I have followed Sociability on Instagram for a while now. They posted that they were going to have a ‘mapping day’ (where they check out venues for accessibility and upload their findings to the app) in my local city of York. I decided to go and had a great day. The app is a real gem for any person with a disability as it takes out the hard work of checking out a venue for accessibility before you go. Just search the venue on the app and it will tell you all, with photo’s too. Fabulous!

This app is incredibly helpful and i love the fact that we independently can add information and photos. It’s a great resource for travelling and makes getting out independently as a wheelchair so much easier. I went on a mapping day and it was just amazing. The community this app creates is wonderful and i can’t wait to use it to explore more places and be independent ☺️

Takes away all the stress when wanting to book a family meal or day out. Usually places say they’re accessible but this takes away the guessing whether it will be or not! By taking photos you can add your experience of a venue to help others.

This app gives great information and insights for disabled people going out to restaurants etc. You can find somewhere right for you without having to do a lot of research for yourself- someone has already checked out the venue for you on this app.
