lost presets for timing? No change?

I've been using (happily) Sound Studio for many years, in various incarnations. Until this update, I have been able to have a number of preset timers, which have been extremely useful for capturing radio programmes [programs, if you're in the US]. This functionality now seems absent, and I can only do 'one-off' timer recordings.
I may be doing something wrong, but I can still do thus successfully on the previous version, on my laptop.
I have tried emailing the developer, but had no reply.
I like Sound Studio, but would appreciate this being fixed - or an explanation of what I am doing wrong.
(The online help document still regards the application as having this function.)

Update for 4.6.1
Sadly, I cannot see the return of the presets for timed recording. This is still my preferred sound file editing application, and I get round the problem by recording in version 4.2, and editing in the current version. A bit tedious, and I am constantly reminded to update in the app store…
I did contact Felt Tip last year, and they said that they might reinstate the facility if there were enough requests. I guess I am alone in this. The online user reference still says: "You can select a preset and then fine-tune the options for your particular setup and for the material you are recording. There are presets for timer recording and voice-activated recording."
Sigh. I've added a star, because despite this shortcoming, I still use it.

Updated version running noticably laggy

I use Sound Studio almost every day, it's a thoughtfully designed no-nonsense editor. My workflow is quite repetitive and I find the keyboard commands and Magic Mouse integration very intuitive and speedy.

I read in the upload notes that a lot of the program needed to be rewritten to support dark mode, which is a welcome feature; but unfortunately, for me at least, it has made the software reaction times unbearable. I appreciate the hard work the developer undertook in rewriting aspects of the program, but in its current incarnation it's too frustrating for me to use and I will be switching back to 4.9.6, for now. I advise anyone else upgrading to make a back-up of the old .app in case they encounter the same issues I have.

Good, but should be ARM-native by now

Sound Studio has been a stalwart Mac app for decades, and it works brilliantly at what it does; but it really ought to be Apple Silicon native by now.
