Spark Mail – AI Email & Inbox 4+

Spark Mail is legitimately one of the best email management apps available. It makes handling emails efficient, easy and not so overwhelming. Everything from the design to the functionalities is so well thought through. As a CEO that often dreads having to handle emails, Spark has made them a little less dreadful.

The AI is great. Extremely useful in crafting quick responses and rephrasing and proofreading. I think it could be improved because it sometimes misunderstands the context of an email and writes as the person I'm emailing instead of as me.

Honestly can't imagine using a different app. I've had spark for a few years now and I don't see myself changing anytime soon.

I found this new version to be much less untuitive to use than the classic version which was clear, uncluttered and simple yet powerful. Particularly I found with the classic version there was perfect syncronicity between my email on desktop and on my phone whereby if I archeved a file on the desktop I could see that email archived on my phone. If I sent a email on my phone I could see the email in the sent category on my desktop and always access any attatched files. It seems with the new version files are not always accessible if they were sent on another device and sometimes emails in threads are missing if they were sent on a different device which makes trackking old emails difficult if you dont know on what device you need to seach. Additionally you used to be able to print individual emails and responses seperately with the option to print with or without history. But now it seems you can only print the main thread of whatever the most recent email is at the top and not individual ones within the thread. The Classic Version is Perfect and I hope they continue to support it even if they want to ad some ai features in the future. Also In the new version I couldnt find a shortcut to archive emails without clicking the tick button but that might just be me missing something.

Regarding email sync: Emails should indeed sync seamlessly across devices, including sent and archived emails. As for printing: I`m glad to inform you that you can print individual emails from a thread by opening the thread, tapping the three dots on the right near the specific email, and selecting Print. Archiving: In the new version, the Mark as Done option functions as archiving. Emails are not deleted and can be found in the Archive folder. To quickly archive emails, use the Mark as Done option. You can also find the shortcut for this option by opening the Settings- Shortcut - Email Actions section. I love using Spark and was among one of the first to jump on the full (paid) version. It was so simple and easy to use - the was no fuss to it - it just worked.
I got a pop-up inviting me to try the new version and all I can say is I am glad they still have the Spark Classic version. I would have been extreme angry if they got rid of it.
The new version is way more complicated, hardder to use and caused a bunch of workflow problems. The biggest issue is that you cannot create emails in a separate window anymore. This is really annoying as I use email a lot and often have to open multiple emails in order to review content and combine information. I also use multiple screens so I keep the main window in one and editing windows in another. This allows me to work on an email while I can still see incoming email on the other screen. This new version looks prettier but forces single screen working which is a nusance. I was willing to try all the fancy AI tools but forcing a single window workflow is a deal breaker. Sorry.
Please allow multi-window editing and viewing.
