At last I can search for files again. When I first started with Documents 5, I could search for files no problem but as my files increased in number the search facility stopped working. 'Scratching my head' brought no answers and hence Documents limped along but now in Documents 7, I see the search facility is functioning again. HOORAY! I do wish Readdle would fix the issue with another app called Documents as it causes confusion as to which of the two Documents apps to select and I like both of them. Just a rider for the developers: I have never installed a beta version of Documents, EVER. I have contacted you on more than one occasion regarding the search facility but failed to get a response that worked but let's not get into recriminations. You are an honest developer and Documents 7 will now search again. Thank you for the update and all the other improvements.

I use this App everyday, it is one of those Apps that I found the more I used and explored become more and more useful. I initially purchased this App to store some of my office documents so I could review and edits files while out off the office. After further use I found I could also zip/unzip files which proved to be very useful as well as storing and playing audio files. The ability to unzip files is a great feature because I was being sent most of my office files archived for obvious reasons.As well as having access to the files you import into the App you also get access to your podcasts and photos thereby not requiring you to leave the App. I have a Wishlist I hope the developers will think about. 1. I am starting to get very annoyed with the Audio player. It needs the ability to skip forward and backwards such as 30 seconds and for this to be configurable. I listen to loads of dictation and audio shows and the ability to jump around would be great. 2. Not sure if it can be done but adding my own short cuts on the left menu will be a good feature. 3. When I save a PDF or other doc to Documents it automatically opens the file. Can this be turned off? Other wise could there be an option. 4. Integration with apps like 1Password would help with saving document passwords era.

It's really quite poor. It's supposed to be able to manage files on your device and in the cloud, but with any cloud interaction it's always running three operations from an invisible queue, and it reprioritises what it's doing seemingly at random. Nothing is ever finished until everything is finished - which either doesn't happen or happens way in the future. There's no way to see the queue, let alone manage it. There's no way to tell it to just do one thing at a time. It's plain bad. I don't know who's writing the 5 star reviews.They update it all the time, and with every update there's a tour of how they changed some trivial thing that you'd never notice. Almost every time I open it there's a new tour, and company news - as if anyone is interested. It's a horrible user experience that seems to stem from narcissism on the marketing side. The company doesn't seem to realise it's a utility app, not a fashion brand.And as if that's not bad enough, it routinely sends pop-ups to tell you some files haven't been opened (if they haven't been). Because we must all open everything with Documents. How it does this when it's closed I don't know. Is it sending detailed usage info for every file, along with the file names up to Readdle?Truly this company's apps have fallen from grace recently. I'm guessing either the staff have nothing to do, so change for change sake, or they have a poorly suited new leader that's wrecking everything.
