Needs More Search-Filters

Though the app is very useful and has an extremely intuitive interface, the search filters for finding spells are somewhat lacking.
The spell finder on D&D Beyond's website is better than the app's one in terms of search filter quantity. For example, if I wanted to find spells that do lightning damage and require a dexterity saving throw (e.g. Lightning Bolt), it would be easier for me to find those spells on D&D Beyond than in this app, as there are specific filters for Damage Type and Saving-Throw Required in the former, whereas the latter has no such filters.
The main positive of the app is that no payment is required to see certain spells in the app, whereas it is on D&D Beyond, and free is always good.
Although I'm sure that more filters will be added in the future, I still find the lack of certain filters slightly irritating.
There is also a Dark Theme for night-time browsing, which makes the background dark and the text light for more comfortable reading.
The text in the app will also enlarge if you increase the text size for your phone in it's settings.

Sorry for any SPAG errors, or if this review dragged-on for too long.

I hope that this review was helpful.

Solid app

This is a really solid app to track your spells in 5e. I also really like the ability to add your own custom spells but I would like to see a section in the creation pane for “at higher level” for the custom spells.
Other than that I haven’t noticed any major issues that haven’t been resolved quickly, so in summary if you want an app which holds all the information for your spellcasters, this is the one for you.

Really good, needs a lil bit of fine tuning

This app is really good, both for players who want a quick, easy way to organise their characters’ spells (what ones they have, whether they’ve prepared them, etc), but also for DMs looking to keep track of their PC and NPCs’ spells.

There are a couple of small issues. Some spells (such as Illusory Script and Abi-Dalzim’s Horrid Wilting) are missing bits from their descriptions that could be important, and when creating a character, it can be weirdly hard to get rid of the keyboard to move onto the selection of your characters’ class.

However, these are just small issues with what is otherwise a really solid, easy to use, helpful app. I’d absolutely recommend it to any D&D player.
