DROPOUT By CollegeHumor 17+

I’ve been a CH fan since the Hardly Working/Honest [blank] video days (some of which admittedly haven’t aged well but it was a different time). The content just continues to get better and better - the newer long format D&D content is exceptional, shows the real fun/creativity and humour of the genre without setting impossibly high standards for home games - I recommend them to my new players over Critical Role and other live play shows. The sketches remain brilliant, the newer game shows are a delight (Game Changer - Original Cast Recording, Make Some Noise, and any Breaking News with Amy Vorphal are some of my top picks. I also appreciate the cast and regular guests creativity, the consistent excellent humour, and their willingness to acknowledge their privilege and social issues, walk the walk on values and inclusivity, and learn over time. The website and app both work very smoothly and intuitively. I rarely review things but I genuinely don’t have a single bad thing to say about this service/app. Absolutely subscribe.

I do not have time to write a long review and I’m not really sure what you’re meant to put in them, but these are the things I’ll say:

- this streaming service and company is STUPIDLY good. They do not charge much, and they operate with kindness and decency always. I’m not one who usually trusts brands of any kind, but my guy, this one? Yes.

- the quality of Literally Everything On Here? Are you freaking kidding me?? I’ve laughed, I’ve cried, I’ve been utterly spoilt for every other piece of media. Not kidding. Normal tv bores me now. When media is made by a diverse and passionate group of people, you can REALLY tell, and I’m ruined for everything else, and I’m very glad of it.

- I’ve made multiple Real Life Friends through these shows, including one of the people I’m closest to in the world, and who I fully expect to still be nerding out with when we’re old and grey.

- do you ever look at a job as an adult and go “oh I know what I want to be when I grow up”

- I will never willingly unsubscribe from this. If I do, assume I’m dead or have gone off the grid

- if you’re thinking about signing up for this lil guy, I wholeheartedly recommend you do, and I promise you will not regret it.

(App vs website has little difference, I got the app so I can go on it on my tv. There are occasionally small bugs, but they’re fixed quickly or have simple solutions, I have zero complaints)

I adore Dimension 20 and it was the reason I got Dropout in the first place- but I’m so glad I decided to browse around for more content. If you’re unsure about getting a Dropout subscription because you just want D20, here is some more content I’d like to shout out:
Total Forgiveness- For when you want a reality show to take you on an emotional rollercoaster. It’s full of laughs as well as moments that will make you cry and cringe. It’s very real and very raw and so worth the watch.
Tales from the closet- listening to such a diverse group of queer people is incredibly refreshing. It’s incredibly validating to hear about different LGBG experiences that don’t get shown in most media.
Troopers- a super fun Star Wars spoof! A good easy watch, much akin to short shows that pop up on Netflix.
Game Changer- a hilarious game show that switches up every episode. It’s incredibly entertaining and every cast member / contestant brings something to the table.
