My favorite game in all of history

It’s such a relief to have a game the final after completing a level doesn’t just throw a random advert you when you want to go back in I definitely recommend it to all strategy players as it makes you think of how to use the gaps and areas to your advantage. Super fun five stars.

Expects you to spend a fortune to do anything

This game is fun and I’ve spent a lot of time playing it but once you get to a certain level it feels impossible to progress without spending an absolute fortune on S-grade equipment or snake eggs. The fact that you need to be able to purchase 50 rampage boxes in order to get one bit of equipment is crazy when you then work out you need to do that at least 36 times in order to upgrade them, that’s 1,800 boxes costing 400,000 gems which would cost £1,400. The amounts you get free or through other offers and achievements doesn’t even come close to that. That doesn’t factor in how much you then also need to spend to try to get S-grade snakes and be able to upgrade them. The add on to remove adverts only last one month which is also a rip off given how much it’s costs. Was enjoying it but losing interest in playing the same level over and over again, I agree with the other reviews which call out the company being too money hungry.

Solid time sink

In terms of these cookie cutter games that exist to waste your time this stands out as there is some level of skill to it. It’s not just putting units in a place, leveling up characters you just watch. There’s nothing wrong with idles but it’s nice to actually get a game to play and snake is a fun, classic formula. Unfortunately it kind of shoots itself in the foot with its difficulty spikes simply being bosses with ridiculously high health, reducing the it to another game where you can’t progress until you’ve done a bunch of tedious levelling in the same levels over and over. I know the game needs stakes but I hate the way they’ve decided to raise them, it comes across cynical and cheap.
3 stars cos it’s a well made snake clone with a lot of polish and minimal obnoxious advertising, just a shame about the grind.
