Description
SUPLA for iOS is part of a project developed based on an open software and open hardware. Control modules for Raspberry Pl and ESP8266/ESP32/Arduino platforms can be built to operate building automatics. The system allows to:
- Open and close the gate
- Open and close garage doors
- Open the door
- Open the gateway
- Open and close roller shutters
- Control RGB lighting
- Control light brightness level
- Turn the power on and off
- Turn the lighting on and off
- Monitor status of roller shutters, the gate, garage doors, the door and the gateway
- Monitor liquid sensor
- Monitor distance sensor
- Monitor depth sensor
- Present temperature and humidity from a connected sensors

SUPLA & Varilight Dimmer
Works great, six Gu10 leds dim from full to almost nothing. App allows perfect trim to set min and max levels.

Awful app, awful product.
We have 2 lights on separate dimmers.
You can group the dimmers under the same room name but you can’t actually control them together. Some times we only want one light on hence the separate dimmers but sometimes we want to dim both lights but you have to do them individually. It’s only a minor inconvenience that could be fixed with an app update.
The main issue is that the dimmers lose their connection to the app every few days and you have to turn the lighting circuit off for 30 seconds and back on again for them to start working again. The dimmers are about 2Mtrs away from the router so it’s not like poor Wi-Fi could be blamed.
For £40 each for the dimmer modules and the usual quality of Varilight products I expected a lot more.
Supla and Heatpol
Limited functionality (eg not possible to program different temperature levels over course of the day). Setting up different heating zones is long and non-intuitive. App often unresponsive. Shame really, I’d hoped for something a lot better. Feels like product still in beta testing.
