Deserves 2 stars

Take little notice of other reviews that talk about how poorly conducted their surgery is! Everybody’s GP surgery is crap, but in truth the app itself deserves the 2* rating!

App set up was OK - you will need identity documents to register for ‘My Health’ to order repeat prescriptions, which is another service. You can try to order acute (one-off) prescriptions of things you have been prescribed before, but this service is awful. It does not pull any details from your account, so you have to input your date of birth, address and email etc from scratch each time, there is also no data validation so it’s possible to type mistakes. Then, when submitting an acute request, the button was blank - like it was malfunctioning - and although it said that my surgery had been informed - I received no confirmation, email or otherwise, and there is not record of my submission on the app at all. I do not know when I sent things, and I will have to ring the surgery anyway to check and see if they received it. In theory, it’s a good tool but the app needs a lot more work.

AWFUL

I submitted a request for more meds on Monday, to be told I’d receive a phone call within 72 hours, Friday I had to ring surgery, only to be told, oh sorry can’t find your details, eventually having found my request, I was told my prescription isn’t ready so could I call to surgery later that day, called in later, to be told, prescription isn’t there yet, took my details and asked me to wait for a phone call, I received a call only to be told to ring surgery on Monday morning, as there was something on form needed to be spoken about, bare in mind I had run out of My meds by now, explained this but was told sorry nothing can be done today surgery is busy, so Monday I ring up explaining and it’s been a week since I submitted the form for my meds, to be told wait for a phone call, I received a call from the pharmacist who told me that she couldn’t find the form, I told her that the receptionist found it earlier, ‘oh’ was the reply! Then told me that she couldn’t really discuss it as she didn’t know what was on the form, so I told her, then I was told that she needed to speak to the GP before I was able to collect my script, and was told that it won’t hurt being without my meds for a day or two, bare in mind Iv already been without since Friday, so today which is Wednesday afternoon I’m still waiting for a response and for my meds, diabolical service since covid!

Too much info. Have to create online account to use online appointment booking.

Only just started using this app. Have no choice as our old system has been removed. (Not by GP practice). You seem to be able to do a plethora of tasks on here. Most of which most people wouldn’t want in my opinion.
To use online appointment booking, Which I use a lot, you first have to create an online account (not sure if that will give me access to that facility even then) The app has most of my details, as before but you have to supply photos and info a lot of people might not have or be able to carry out. Have tried to create online registration today so will see how long and how successful that will be. So far not impressed. Our surgery by the way is super.
