“Tap on the bugs” is an interactive app and is intended to assist in the choice of antibiotics used for many of the infections presenting among patients at the hospitals that can be selected from within the app.
Topics include:
Treatment of common infections
Prophylaxis for procedures in different specialities
Dosing of antibiotics in renal impairment
Therapeutic Drug Monitoring of antibiotics
iv to oral switch antibiotic options
Its use outside of hospitals included in the app is NOT recommended as this guidance has been formulated to take into account the antibiotic sensitivity profiles of the local predominant pathogenic microbes including Clostridium difficile.
