Outstanding!

New to online games, I happened upon The Room via a review on another escape room game which said that their game was ‘almost as good as The Room’. I haven’t looked back! The Room games are in a league of their own; nothing else out there even comes close, and Old Sins is no exception. I preferred it to The Room Three, where I got rather confused with the alternative endings. This one was fantastic. There are two elements that make these games stand out above others of their type: the exquisite graphics and animation which are truly a thing of beauty, (you can almost feel the wood!) and the tactile nature of many of the puzzles; I love having to physically manipulate items and there is a good variety of really imaginative puzzles which are unlike anything else out there. The way a box or part of a cabinet suddenly opens out to reveal a new box or drawer still, on the fourth outing, makes me gasp with delight at the imagination and skill that has gone into producing such a high quality game. Personally I’m not interested in the diary and story element and tend not to bother reading the notes that appear, though I’m sure that appeals to some. I would also have liked to not see the same ‘strange artefact ‘ in every room; maybe a little more variety there please? But these are minor quibbles. It is a beautiful and absorbing game and I can’t wait for the next one!

Superb - The Best Yet👌🏻👍🏻🙌🏻👏🏻⭐️

I must confess I don’t understand reviews that say the puzzles were easier in this version of The Room. I pride myself on being able to solve the hardest of puzzles but on at least two occasions I was absolutely stumped as to what to do next and had to use a hint. Also, the game is proving to be longer than some previous editions - I’ve been playing for hours, over three days now and I’m still only 3/4 of the way thru! I love the concept of the Dolls House, it’s another original idea that adds an extra dimension not seen in previous versions. The fact we can enter and solve the mysteries within makes it all the more interesting and brings about a fresh feel to what was becoming a little too familiar. The graphics are splendid as usual and the Dolls House is mechanical genius and really rather beautiful.
If I have one gripe, it would simply be that the whole game is a little too dark and I’ve had to turn the brightness up to a level where it significantly drains the battery on my iPad. However this is my only complaint. The story, ambience, graphics and puzzles are exactly what we’ve come to expect from these award winning set of games and for me, this is their best one yet. Absolutely worth every penny. I have all four now and never been disappointed.

Have to agree

I like many others have waited with anticipation and baited breath for the next instalment of The Room. And I agree it’s a little easier than the previous ones and the first was the best in terms of originality. But this latest chapter doesn’t fail to deliver, however it does it slightly differently. There’s more of a story to this rather than a treasure hunt feel. And there are more cut scenes to tell that story. Some of the puzzles feel a little lacklustre but is that because we are used to how these games work and click now? I’m not sure. But I am sure that this is another beautifully crafted game, a wonderful way to pass the time thoughtfully and challenging the old grey matter. Sadly my old iPad 3 can’t download this so I’m going to have to invest in more up to date technology if I want to see this is all its glory on anything bigger than my phone. The graphics in this series are absolutely breathtaking, the best I’ve yet to see on modern games. The play is always interesting and makes you think and these are obviously the result of lots of love care sweat and tears that have gone into them. Thank you guys, another one that I won’t be deleting!!! *** PS - room fans - try the House of Da Vinci if you’ve not already got it, another wonderful time waster and the game play is based on The Room***
