Good puzzle game let down by linear path through puzzles

A good puzzle game that expands on the mechanics of its predecessor, The Sequence.

However, it doesn’t let you play the puzzles in any order. That means if you get stuck on one puzzle you’re entirely blocked from making any progress. This greatly detracts from the enjoyment of the game.

Update: after about level 50 you are no longer forced to play the levels in order. I’ve increased my rating accordingly.

Amazingly engaging!

This 2D puzzle game has beautifully simple rules that develop gradually with increasing complexity. There really aren’t enough in this style out there. I haven’t encountered one I’ve loved this much since Colourcube; my all-time favourite.

It’s so very fun—I’ve been playing it for 3 hours straight! And I have every intention of continuing after this review.

It’s just the right level of challenging, in a format that’s unusual and deeply satisfying.

(I’ll note that, visually, it’s not the most beautiful game I’ve ever encountered in that it’s not in that trendy minimal flat design. Not sure this matters, and it is obvious from the screenshots. Not the design I would have chosen, but it does have identity.)

Cool factory sim? :-)

Fell in love with this game at level 15.
It's kind of like factory automation in its thinking.
A good puzzle game, neatly programmed, and very enjoyable.
Glad I bought it.
