Great app

Possibly the best calisthenics app out there. Workouts are categorised by difficulty and goal (burn fat, build strength etc) which can prevent plateaus. The design is slick, intuitive and feels comprehensive. I particularly like how each day will give you a different workout. Very good for busy people. The workouts themselves are good. After being on adidas training for 2 years I felt like I ‘beat’ the app, and so coming to this app I feel like there’s more progression happening.

Few issues though - you will need equipment for almost all of the workouts. For most people this is fine but if you travel a lot like me, you might struggle to find a dip bar 😂 I would love to see an option to set no equipment per workout or in the settings. You can make it work if you have the experience and some creativity but the option should be there.

Another problem I’ve noticed some other people mention is the programs will increase difficulty too quickly. If you’re at a moderate to advanced level, the programs should be challenging but achievable, but the difficulty curve is steeper for beginners which could be intimidating. You might have to repeat workouts to make progress which isn’t a great experience. That being said, the app gives you plenty of workouts to choose from and if you stick with it then you will feel rewarded.

Like I said, this is probably the best one out there for calisthenics and worth a try.

THE fitness app to download.

I cannot begin to tell you how brilliant this app is. When you pay you have multiple programs to choose from which have been a GOD SEND during quarantine when the gyms shut. This is THE fitness app to download. This is THE alternative to the gym. Honestly just trust me guys. I’d go to the gym 6 times a week and only through Chris have I built strength to finally do a body weight pull up. I run the beginners Calisthenics and beginners home work out back to back. I feel amazing and am stronger than ever. Plus ladies, Chris ain’t half bad to look at either (I mean COME ON).

Work out Paradise

I’ve been using this app now since late January this year. Chris Heria and team’s work outs are superb. They are hard, progressive and motivational. The muscle group splits or focus is spot on and there is (as a beginner) enough hard graft combined with skills progression to keep me interested.
The work out library is fantastic, in the real world sometimes you can’t train every day but if you miss a back and Biceps on a Thursday but want to catch it up on a Saturday it is there for you.
I don’t give it 5 stars as technically it is not as advanced as it could be - the timer is dubious, or at least not helpful in the way I like to work. Every day I have to transpose the workout into a different app to run the timings and rest periods etc on a different app on my Apple Watch and it would be awesome if I didn’t have to. That said, these are fitness guys and not tech guys and I strongly believe they are improving me and my body, strength and mind.
