Lovely group I matched with
After having a difficult time trying to meet people in London having moved in the last two years, I had tried this after seeing ads on instagram and was pleasantly surprised. It’s a very low stakes meet up at a fairly priced establishment so you’re not breaking the bank to meet people. But you’re also finding genuine connections with people who have common interests.
First ‘TimeLeft’ experience
I love the concept, on the whole I think the algorithm did a pretty decent job at matching for conversation, although I’m pretty used to speaking to all sorts of people so I’m not sure I’m the best gauge. I’d consider myself an open person but found the questions lead to very deep conversations, which was a bit much for a chilled Wednesday eve out with strangers.
I’d like to give it ago again though, as I’m intrigued to see who else I meet.
It would have been nice to have a better balance of genders, irrespective that it’s not a dating app.
Not for dating
The concept is brilliant and the people who go are wonderful BUT it’s not a replacement for a dating app. Some groups are all female or have just 1 male attending. I wouldn’t have a bug bear about this if they didn’t repeatedly advertise it as an alternative to dating apps.
My second issue is that they book the reservations in close proximity to one another (great) but book out the same drab bar each week in Angel that’s not within walking distance. I think we pay enough for them to make the effort to book a bar in more convenient location, and make the experience more social.
