With 30 billion matches to date, Tinder® is the world’s most popular app for meeting new people. Think of us as your most dependable wingmate — wherever you go, we’ll be there. If you’re here to meet new people, expand your social network, meet locals when you’re travelling, or just live in the now, you’ve come to the right place. We’re called “the world’s hottest app” for a reason: we spark more than 26 million matches per day. How many dating apps do that?

Match. Chat. Date. Tinder is easy and fun — use the Swipe Right™ feature to like someone, use the Swipe Left™ feature to pass. If someone likes you back, it’s a match! We invented the double opt-in so that 2 people will only match when there’s a mutual interest. No stress. No rejection. Just tap through the profiles you’re interested in, chat online with your matches, and then step away from your phone, meet up in the real world and spark something new.

Now, let’s get started. And remember, when in doubt, give a Swipe Right™. Trust us, the more options you have, the better-looking life becomes.

Welcome to Tinder — the largest, hottest community of singles in the world. Don’t be shy, come on over.

Upgrade to Tinder Plus® for premium features, including unlimited likes, so you can use the Swipe Right feature to your heart’s content; Passport to chat with singles anywhere around the world; Rewind to give someone a second chance; one free Boost per month to be the top profile in your area for 30 minutes; and additional Super Likes to stand out from the crowd.

Upgrade to Tinder Gold™ for a first-class experience: Passport, Rewind, unlimited likes, five Super Likes per day, one Boost per month, and more profile controls. But wait: it gets better. Save time and aimless searching with our Likes You feature, which lets you see who likes you. Think of it as your personal Tinder concierge — available 24/7 — bringing all of your pending matches to you. Now you can sit back, enjoy a fine cocktail and browse through profiles in your own time. Goodbye search fatigue. Hello #GoldLife

Editors’ Notes

More than just a dating app, Tinder has been updated to become one of the most engaging, fun, and social apps around. Of course, finding matches is still a huge highlight—but with smart group chats, an awesome Apple TV app, and Super Likes to go around, we’re swiping right on this one.

UPDATE - Tinder Has Had It’s Day I Think.

Tinder is ok, but doesn’t do enough in terms of narrowing down your criteria. The swipe left or right concept is genius, but there are other apps that do it better now, and let you be more specific in what you’re looking for. Also, Tinder keeps suggesting people in different countries; I can’t seem to control it. What’s all that about? That’s no good! I think I’ll be quitting it soon, and certainly won’t be using one of the paid services.

UPDATE - In addition, verifying your identity is not compulsory. There seems to be a lot of fakes on there, which might explain why some people go quiet after a few messages. I have seen one or two people on other apps, which turned out to be fakes. So obviously, their Tinder profile will be fake as well. This issue happens a lot with sites/apps that offer a free service and non-compulsory identity verification.

Because Tinder offers a free service, it seems to be swamped with people that sign up, but then go dead, for whatever reason. What they should do is turn off the profiles that have been inactive for around 2 or 3 weeks or more. It will cut out a lot of wasted time.

Developer Response ,

Thanks for reaching out. If only some of your potential matches exceed your distance preference, this is due to Passport.

This premium feature allows Tinder Plus and Tinder Gold customers to change their location and check out potential matches in your current location.

Unreliable and useless

Beyond the usual issues that dating apps face (ie swiping endlessly, getting hardly any matches and even less that talk), Tinder’s verification and security system is useless. My account was recently locked, I submit the verification pictures and it said I’d get my account back in ‘a few minutes’. 2 days later it’s still locked and under review so I contacted tinder support, the following day I find my accounts banned for no valid reason. Tinder devs/staff, I will not accept your excuse that I’ve validated your ‘terms of use’ and ‘community guidelines’ because you haven’t actually specified and proven to me how I’ve violated them. Your customer service is terrible since you always use the same scripted/canned response to get out of actually answering the question. I did absolutely nothing wrong and you have banned me for absolutely nothing.

In addition to this, regardless of how far my distance filter is set, I still get people pop up from other places and countries that are well outside of this. At one point it was acting like I was in an entirely different place even when I set my location/tinder passport to my exact location. Whilst it has allowed me to connect with people I would never have crossed paths with, the fact that it shows me everyone near and far is not helpful in the slightest.
