Welcome to the TonePrint app – home of tone tinkerers and sound hounds alike.
TC Electronic’s ‘TonePrint®’ app lets you use your phone’s speakers to beam TonePrints directly into your guitar pickup to drastically change your TonePrint pedal. Reassign knob functions, tweak parameters, adjust EQ responses – instant inspiration at your fingertips. The app will even work offline if you should happen to be in international waters so you can shred with total impunity.

Shame obvious feature is missing
This app seriously needs an update.
You should be able to create sounds on the laptop TonePrint Editor, and store them on your phone for beaming into your pedal at a second’s notice!
If this was a feature, it would be the gigging musician’s best friend. As it is now, it’s effectively useless. *shrugs*
Really good after some initial problems!
Once you get used to it, it’s a really cool app! Had some initial problems beaming the TonePrints to the pickups, but managed to solve it by plugging the cables in mono instead of stereo, making see “level” is cranked up all the way. Also, making sure to check which phone speaker you need to use, bottom or top of the phone.
Amazing how much work went into this!
TonePrints don’t save properly
Toneprints don’t save when trying to edit some of the secondary functions of pedals, such as secondary delays etc. which can only be accessed via the app for the plethora. Once the edits have been made, the toneprint saved, stored in board, and accessed in board, the settings automatically reset to the default, which is delay 1 and delay 2 being synced.
It’s also needlessly difficult and confusing to edit pedal settings with the app. It’s hard to figure out where you need to go to do it, and it would be nice to be able to edit settings via the app without having to create a new toneprint every time.
Love the plethora but this app needs a complete rework. Other companies such as fender and Yamaha have great apps for their products. Easy to use and navigate, no need for a manual to work out what to do.
We’re forced to use this app because we like tc electronic pedals. Please give us a better app TC!
