Excellent App and extremely good value

I have been looking for what seems like the beginning of time to find a photo eraser app for my iPad that is both affordable and does not come with continuous weekly or monthly fee, This app deserves credit were it is due, It is affordable and sells for a very reasonable price, There are no hidden fees that i can see and no weekly or monthly subscription fees it also does exactly what it says and removes background images without having to put in much effort yourself, if anything this app is better than some of the other that charge fees, all I can say if for less than £4 give it a try you have nothing to lose, and I would like to say thank you to the author for making this app’ it is an amazing app and deserves credit for giving the user a simple but honest affordable app without all the hidden fees for this reason I am giving it a 5 star rating, Thank you.

A great app - and attentive developers

The app was recently given an overhaul and I commented in a review that the upgrade was a retrograde step. The developer got in touch and discussed the things I felt were wrong in an email exchange - and hey presto a few days later a new update was released fixing the problems and making the app even better than before. I hadn’t expected such a helpful or quick response and it became clear to me that the developer team really do care about this app and will continue to make it better. I’m very impressed. The app is very much worth the download, especially if, like me, you’re the type of photographer that needs to remove a lampshade (or other object) from the top of a subject’s head because you got the composition all wrong!

///If you mean here you are missing the Quick Repair tools, we want to assure you that we didn't remove them.They are still in the app. Now Brush under Objects can function either as the Quick Brush/Blemish Remover or as the standard Object Removal tool depending on the active retouching mode (AUTO or MAN). If you want to use the Brush tool as the Quick Brush or Blemish Remover, go to the AUTO Retouch mode (tap the AUTO/MAN button in the lower-right corner of the screen to turn on the AUTO mode) and tap any tiny item with it — it will get removed; you could also remove bigger items by selecting them. We have released the 5.0.2 update that provides additional explanatory tips on this change. Please check it out and let us know what you think.

Expensive subscription model

The featured review and other positive reviews clearly talk about this being a one time purchase at a reasonable price like $5 one-time. In reality it lets you load a photo then offers a ‘free trial’. In fact it’s an annual subscription of $15 with first payment starting in a few days time. By digging into the app I was able to cancel the auto renewal so I could try the features for a few days without worry. I was interested in power line removal. For this you tap on each line then tap ‘go’. If you tap more than once, instead of trying to identify the rest of a line, it tracks your fingertip! Most lines were invisibly removable, however one with a cloudy background was converted into a pale streak. This is clearly a powerful and easy to use tool. I’d estimate my usage to be 10 photos per year. $15/year doesn’t make sense to me. With Google offering a free AI retouch app with its phones now, I’d be looking for a more competitive deal.

Yes, the app used to be a one-time purchase; however, we have recently moved to a subscription model to be able to keep supporting the app and improving it by implementing new AI-based stuff into it.

If you are not planning to use the app often, you could stay on the free plan. It gives access to all the app features but has a single restriction – only one photo export per day is allowed.
