And why do they keep hiding my review
This game is terrible for reasons I’ve spoke about but they seem to be hiding bad reviews because launch was terrible just a cash shop at this point all you do is spend money on practically an afk grinder
Charming graphics, relaxing gameplay, a bit inflated
I will preface this by pointing out I’ve only played some few hours of the game to get a handle on if it’s for me, so this is not going to be am exhaustive review.
The game is incredibly charming. The sprites are nice, and the animations are surprisingly fluid. I won’t speak on the story as that has more to do with the webcomic, but I didn’t find anything objectionable from what I did see.
The things that hold this game back, in my opinion, lay in the “systems” of the game. From a comprehensive equipment screen, to skills for each character, to the ability to transcend characters and weapons, to the fusion of Ignition Weapons, to Fate Levels and Gifts, and so on. To be plain; It’s simply too much. Going through the tutorials, I honestly found myself getting progressively less engaged and spending more time just thinking “do I really want to spend my time managing this?” Especially when the game is almost an auto-battler flirting with being an idle RPG. The “active” part of the game is mostly just inventory and gear management. If that’s your dig, shoot for it, but it REALLY hurt my experience with the game.
A final thought; The game has serious issues with accessibility. The text was quite small, and as someone with dyslexia, I found myself missing massive chunks of the story; Compounded by the fact that the text auto-progressed, and I couldn’t turn it off.
Fun game prefer this to new world
The rates seem a lot better than new world and the animations are much nicer
