This app has been updated by Apple to display the Apple Watch app icon.

Choose between the original workout flow where you manually progress from exercise to exercise, or Auto-Advance where the workouts come to life (for both the 12 Week Program and the Pull-up Program).

Auto-Advance Mode:
• Each workout has timed sets for each exercise with rest and transition time built in. For rep-based movements you manually advance once the reps are completed.

In your settings, you can adjust:
• the amount of time per exercise
• the amount of time between each exercise
• the amount of extra time for transitions between standing to floor, or vice versa, movements

Fixes issues with video playback.

Tactical TRX

Great app to get started with your TRX, would be good to have an audible countdown on the timer and if the the mobility and rounds could flow as a continuous workout (instead of stopping to start the timer) Great videos.

Update??

What a terrible excuse for an app update. At first glance the new timing system seems good, but then you realise that the extra set up time seems to be random. Need to change from normal to calf length, single hand and be face down on the ground? Here, have 15 seconds. Need to change arms? Recon you could do that in 30?

Meanwhile there is still no timer option for the agility drills and you can’t even use the previous rest timer any more as they are locked once the rest of the session is complete (yes you could scroll through the whole workout to get back to it if you were that desperate).

You could have taken advantage of the timer based “hands free” format to include maybe a full screen “up next” prompt, but instead it’s still small writing jammed at the bottom of the screen. You could have added reminders in sketch form for the exercises during each one, but you didn’t. You could even have used voice prompts to tell the user what was next, maybe a 10 seconds left warning... but no. You go for a poor attempt at an update by adding a basic timing tool.

What a terrible let down for a great piece of kit.

The TRX system is excellent. The equipment is portable and very well made. The ease of adjustment of the straps is good after the initial breaking in period. The tactical training videos are clear and precise. The integrated timer is well thought. Only into week 2, and still going strong. Surprised there is not a stretching section for post workout. I would have liked the option to see a full video per day. I am in the emergency services so this will keep me fit and able to respond to hostile situations.
