Turo - Find your drive 4+

I recently used Turo for the first time to rent a car and I have to say, I was thoroughly impressed with the experience. From start to finish, everything was seamless and hassle-free.

The booking process was easy and straightforward. Turo's app is user-friendly and I was able to find a car that suited my needs and budget quickly. I appreciated the ability to filter search results by factors such as car type, location, and price.

When I arrived to pick up the car, the owner was prompt, friendly, and professional. They gave me a brief overview of the car and its features before handing over the keys. The car was in excellent condition, clean, and well-maintained. It was clear that the owner takes pride in their vehicle and cares about providing a high-quality rental experience.

Throughout my trip, the car performed beautifully and I had no issues with it. When it was time to return the car, the owner made the process easy and stress-free. Overall, I was extremely satisfied with my experience using Turo and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a convenient and affordable car rental option. It's a great alternative to traditional car rental companies and provides a more personal touch to the rental experience. I will definitely be using Turo again in the future!

As a host I’ve had a good few bookings and they’ve all been smooth so far. However, when cancelling a booking for a genuine reason I did feel slightly outraged by the tone of the messages in the app. This is my vehicle and if I decide to cancel a trip I feel bad enough, I don’t need harsh messages regarding decreased ratings and order my ad will subsequently appear. I understand Turo needs a reliable host community but you’re earning plenty from my rentals and I do not need further worry regarding my need to cancel a booking. Also be aware that extra milage is not added automatically. This is incredibly annoying. I input the odometer data before and after a booking so please can you just add the charge to the trip as I had no idea I had to claim a reimbursement and nearly missed the deadline. This feels a bit sneaky and there is no good reason it couldn’t be automated. And no I am not going to offer extra miles to save you time processing reimbursement. The car is already very cheap for hire and you’re getting 25% of the amount.

I’ve been a guest and a host on airbnb for ages. Car is not there yet. Terrible experience: in London at least the platform is apparently infested with unethical / scammers who are just waiting for an opportunity to try to steal money, similar to those dodgy car rental companies that ruin your summer holidays! You feel vulnerable before getting the vehicle, since the communication is bad and the host can cancel the trip w/o further notification and you feel super vulnerable (awful) when they upload several damages you are unaware of asking you to pay for it. This is stealing! The scam is meticulous calculated: they first seem to be reliable and relaxed (like when I asked, should I photograph the vehicle, the answer was “not needed, you can trust”…), kind, flexible, etc (so I obviously didn’t take photos when returning, naively), nearly 2 weeks have passed (just after the period I had to evaluate the host) and a bad surprise came: dents, scratches, internal damage… just ridiculous: I was with my wife and kid and parked in the hotel most of the time. I even cleaned the car before returning it. So anyway: don’t recommend not even to my enemies now.
