Version 26.0.0
The Authy app can now, server side, dynamically increase the amount of rounds of password-based key derivation function for encrypting seeds, making passwords harder to brute force. This allows the app to adapt to the ever increasing compute power. We are leveraging this new feature to make passwords 100 times more resistant to brute force attacks.

Great but freezes!
I’ve got 7 accounts linked to this Authenticator app and they all work as they should with no hiccups. However, when I open the app after closing it a few seconds ago it’ll freeze—sometimes on the passcode screen and sometimes in the accounts screen, not letting me scroll down to select a different account, as well as not allowing me to access in-app settings. During this time I can’t operate the app at all so I have to reset my phone because closing it and opening it won’t fix it.
Please fix this bug! Because apart from it freezing on me like this it’s actually great for what it does. Please fix this in the next update! 👍
Great app, particularly as it’s cross device
I love this app. I particularly love the fact that I can have my 2FA codes on multiple devices. It makes migrating devices so much easier (I realise some people will see this as a security flaw, but personally I welcome it as I frequently change device)
The Apple Watch app isn’t great. Certainly up until the time of writing I couldn’t view codes for longer than a few seconds before it “reset” back to the selection screen. I’ve stopped using it. There have also been the odd issue with Face ID meaning there’s a 5-10 second delay post authorising via Face ID. However this is erratic and hasn’t happened since late May 2020 (written in June 2020) an early June update may have resolved the watch issue, I’ll update the review if it does.
Locked me out of accounts that i frequently used
i have a roblox account and a discord account linked onto this app. i logged out of my roblox account and tried logging back in, which i needed to use authy for. the only problem is that roblox was encrypted on authy - it said i could only decrypt it using a backup password. first off, i had no option to change my backup password on any of my devices. second off, i don’t even have a backup password to begin with. the app told me itself the backup option was disabled, and when i tried enabling it, it asked me for the backup password that i don’t have. this means i’m locked out of my roblox account (which i’ve spent money on) and will be locked out of discord if i get logged out and also can’t log on to either on any new devices if my current ones get locked or damaged. thank you authy, really appreciate it.
