Tyme 3 - Time Tracking 4+

Clean and simple interface - syncs perfectly

I've tried all sorts of time tracking systems - both desktop apps and cloud-based online systems. Having happily used this for nearly a year now, I can safely say this is the first that had all the features that I needed. It may seem like a fairly simplistic interface, but that is because it well designed and there is little to get in the way.

I can easily see how many hours I've worked on a job, and I can convert that to a cost (different hourly rates can be set on each job). The reports section is realy powerful.

I would highly recommend this for any freelancer.

No, it doesn't do invoicing. I would love it if this synced with Quickbooks, but maybe that's asking too much.

No, it isn't free... but who really expects to get really good software for free. I have mixed feelings about subscription based licensing, but this is not expensive, and is cheaper than some of the alternatives.

A great and powerful tool, could be improvements

This was the first trackign system i decided to use for my new business and it has been really useful and can be much more useful and powerful than what i havebeen using it for.

I love that you can easily re-organise things if you decide a different time organisation system will work better (for example when I added my co-director to it) without loosing your previous data.
I would like the ability to merge tasks together if you decide you want to consolidate, but maybe I haven't found how to do it yet.

By and large a great app, as long as you commit to it, but whether you're someone who monitors and records time as you go along, or at the end of the day, this will really work for you.

I don't trust this developer

I spent £65 on the Tyme 2 apps not long before the pandemic made them unnecesarry, but now they are useful again they are no longer supported. I usnderstand the reasons for switching to a subscription model but usually some kind of transitional offer to existing customers is given. I have been simply told Tyme 2 isnt available or isnt supported and pushed to subscribe to Tyme 3. I would if I'd been shown more respect as a past customer but this makes me not trust the developer or want to give them any more money. If you buy a software outright you expect it to be functional for a few years at least, not abandoned .
