Doesn’t feel quite as good to play as other similar games

I think this game is a pretty sub-par infinite runner. The game itself is built around a loot box system with a season pass that can get you a few extra items and that itself is an OK system. Where my issues lie are within the gameplay itself, it just doesn’t feel great to play. It lacks the snappiness in its movement that other infinite runners have, which i feel is quite important when playing a game where your reaction times are put through their paces. Dodgy movement being the core of the game means i wouldn’t rate this any higher than 3 stars.

TL;DR - The game is fine, but the movement isn’t really there

No longevity and no iCloud save

This lasted no more than two months. I reached the stage others got to, where perfect runs would usually get you to fourth place - meaning you lose trophies, gain no points and are unable to upgrade any further.

Essentially, you end up going backwards with no way of halting the loss of trophies.

Reaching first place was almost impossible, possibly once every 20 or so races this would freakishly happen.

Trying to get three consecutive third-place-or-above for the daily challenge had also become impossible. You might get two in a row, to be followed by yet another fourth place and all would be lost - again.

I wanted to give a three star review for the fun I had at the beginning before I couldn’t progress any further, but the App Store wouldn’t allow it saying I hadn’t downloaded the app. Weird. So I deleted the app and re-installed it to try again.

That’s when I realised that your data isn’t saved on iCloud or on the game servers, meaning I’d lost my progress and all the content - including content gained through an in-app purchase. Lovely.

It was good while it lasted, but there’s absolutely no way I can recommend this unless changes are made to the game (including saving your progress).

Becomes impossible to win

I've been playing this game for a while since launch. Got the Season Pass, cleared it, own all the stuff. Despite all that, and despite the fact I've got a pretty high power rating in the game, I'm still frequently getting results of 4th and 5th in each stage.

The game continually raises the bar in terms of which score you have to hit to reach the top 3 (and therefore make progress), but the target scores are ridiculously, impossibly high.

At my current level, I can hit a near-perfect run and end up with around 680,000 points at best. But sometimes the game tells me that 1st is 900,000+ which is literally impossible.

It keeps stressing that you have to level up your outfits to build your points multipliers, but that's impossible to do if you can't actually win stages to get the loot bags and coins needed to do it, let alone when you get a Daily Task that says "win 3 in a row"and I'm spending an hour just to try and win one.

As it stands, the progression system is completely broken, and I can't recommend this game because you'll hit a wall, even if you spend money on it.
