Unifi: Your Social Campus 4+

I was recommended by my friend who is also starting university this year, she downloaded the app in her hopes of finding new friends for the year as covid has stopped us from attending events in person. She found that the app made it very easy for her to make friends from her university and course and is now less anxious about starting university.

I wanted to give it a try as I too was at same place. I downloaded the app and it has helped a lot in me finding new friends from not just my university and course but also including those at my accommodation. I made many new friends and already made plans with them. This app made it so easy to find the people that you are looking for as there are many chats for different categories of people’s likes and interests, many of the courses are included and many more. You can even create your own group chat if you can’t find what you want and there’s also a personal chat to talk to people individually.

The only issue I have with the app is the technical difficulties that occur every now and then. Such as the app freezing and hanging, logging me out of the app for no reason and messages being delayed when sent specifically in the really big group chats.

But overall, I really enjoyed this app and it definitely helped me to become more confident and more excited on starting university.

I love this app because you get to meet students from your course and university before you even get on campus! It’s a great way to make friends so that first day doesn’t feel so daunting! I like that you get added to the relevant groups straight away and that you can also private message each other.
I would like it if the app gave me the option to accept or decline an invite to a group but overall I recommend anyone starting uni to download this app! I’ve made some friends already and am feeling more confident for my first day!

I downloaded this app in the hope that I’d find people on my courses and in my accommodation as I was feeling nervous to start university. This app has done exactly that!

After setting up your profile you’re added straight into the group chat for your course and you have the option to join different society group chats as well. So far I’ve found several members of my flat through using this app and hope to find more soon. The one to one chat facilities allow you to have private conversations with other students so that you can get to know others more personally before you arrive, which made me feel more at ease to start.
