I may be too quick to judge here but… yesterday I woke up to a notification from a trusted tracking app i used for my parcels. I see one that said ‘attempted delivery.. ups’ and i think oh wonderful i missed it. I had in fact… missed it maybe by about 5 minutes. But i’m not convinced they even tried properly to deliver the parcel. Ive looked on their website and tracked my parcel and when it’ll next be attempted to be delivered. (baring in mind i’ve stayed up all night expecting it to be first thing with it being a second attempt) Come to find out. Ive a 4 hour ‘time slot’ for when my parcel COULD be delivered. I was clicking around to see if i could get a more exact time and see something along the lines of ‘…should be on the notice left with you’… i know not receiving a notice isn’t a huge deal but- it does reassure people that a delivery attempt was made. Did i receive this notice? No. Not one ounce of proof that a proper delivery attempt was made. For all i know they could of driven up to my door. Stood there for a few seconds and then driven off with my parcel. And there isn’t even a GUARANTEE that i’ll get my parcels by the end of today.

Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha. Surely this app is an actual joke? I hope so because that’s the only explanation for how bad it is. Unable to really do anything useful on this app; including login. I will just have to wait and see what happens to my delivery. My email says confidently ‘your parcel will be delivered on Tuesday’, but knowing UPS that’s meaningless. I’m looking forward to getting a text message five minutes after they ‘tried’ to deliver it saying ‘I wasn’t in’. But of course I was in. The doorbell never rang. My phone number wasn’t called. I didn’t even get an email telling me the guy was at the door with my parcel. Funny that. And then I will be given options to change the delivery day or collect from the depot. But I won’t be able to follow up on any of these options. Because; the app doesn’t work. And unless I’m willing to call a contact centre and go through endless options to then speak to somebody who tells me ‘it’s out for delivery again’. Anyway… It’s all very pointless really. Just like this app. Perhaps the joke is on us? Bur, it’s not very funny.

I was actually going to make official complaint, but then considering how many negative reviews they have - as company, service, app - and every possible field- and do nothing to improve- then it would be just waste of my time. Because they DON’T CARE! All the info you’re getting after giving a lot of your personal details ( if you are lucky that is and get pass “no info” “error” and no “information available “) is that package will be delivered BY THE END OF THE DAY. Quite frankly it should state BY THE END OF THE WEEK, because they can’t even deliver on nominated day, nevermind dreaming of time slot so you can actually do something with that day. I mean at 11:40PM APP was still insisting that package is in transit and will be delivered by THE END OF THE DAY! I get delivery quite often- and whether its Hermes or royal mail - they all manage to provide decent service, even if they run a bit late - its usually minutes, sometimes couple of hours- but UPS manage to run late DAYS and will NOT notify you even after you give them
Your email, phone number and specifically ask to be updated of ANY delays or changes! They absolutely don’t give a toss that you sit by the doors waiting, because god forbid it takes you more than 10 seconds to get to the doors after all that hassle. WORSE - EXPERIENCE- EVER!
