Add to Calendar
Class bookings are now added automatically to your phone calendar with a reminder, making it harder for you to ignore an upcoming class. You can change the default reminder time in the app settings if you need to.
Upload a photo, upgrade package and access type, change home club, request a freeze when necessary, update your contact information, and see what other clubs you can access as part of your membership.
Find the distance to your nearest club as well as everything else you need to know (telephone number, address and opening times).
You can access your key Boditrax metrics through the app just by linking your Virgin Active and Boditrax accounts. Get a quick breakdown of your body scan results and easily compare your stats with previous results and a member average. With integrated Boditrax, it is easier than ever to track your body’s changes.

The major problem I have is that I am unable to get onto any classes. Also the majority of classes are during the afternoon when I’m at work. As a teacher I finish at 4pm and am able to attend classes from around 5pm but there are none at this time.
Another thing Iv notice is the change over of life guards or their break time when you have someone in office wear on poolside. Are they actually a trained lifeguard and should them be on poolside in a suit. As a pool manager this seem a little strange.
The instructors and in-house staff are wonderful and professional and the facilities are always clean and tidy.
It would be great if you offered a service where you could meet a gym buddy. As a climbing instructor we have open session where people can climb together. As a female it’s alway a little intimidating going into the weights area surrounded by men. Would it be possible to have a women’s only hour or area.
It's ok but has quite a few issues...
The club is nice and clean and the gym is well equipped and the class teachers are fabulous. The cafe is great too. Now for the bad points... the car park at the front is like the Land Rover test track! Pot holes galore and not little ones either! Come on how much is a tonne of stones to fill them in really costing in the grand scheme of things?! Club V booking is an absolute joke. You have to book 10 days in advance (and by 9am or you can't get in) then have to remember to go into your app 3 days later to book your class to coincide! Managed to do this successfully 3 times over 4 & 1/2 months of trying 😫 When you do take your child in the signing in sheet has orange lines across it for all the 'no shows' (5 on Friday when I went and that was just the over 3's!) and by the staffs own admission they can't do anything about it. No phone calls to parents to tell them off or even an email. Why can't we book Club V 7 days in advance through the app? Calling them usually takes around 6 attempts to get them as they are always on the phone. The stuff in Club V is extremely limited for an 8 year old. The Virgin Active website tells of all the fabulous things that children can do. You only do one of them and whenever I'm up in the gym there are just a few children doing it. Really pointless. Come on Solihull Virgin Active you can do much better!
Pointless notification emails
The functionality of the app is great except for one fundamental flaw that makes notifications obsolete. Classes in my club fill up virtually as they’re released. That means at best you can only hope to be on the waiting list. If you happen to get into the class it’s usually because people pull out at the last minute. The app then notifies the next on the waiting list NOT by text but by email. I get about 50 emails a day and that doesn’t include work. So unless I’m checking my email constantly, waiting for a notification I’m not going to notice it. Then I miss the class and deny someone else the chance. Worse still, if this happens 3 times in a week (happened to me twice in a day once) then there is a 7 day ban on booking classes. Life is too busy to be checking email every half an hour just in case you get in the class. This notification needs to be SMS. It’s not difficult Virgin Active, just sort it out.
