With mystery, magic and stunning scenery, Wiltshire offers some of the most fascinating and picturesque walks in the country.

Our simple to use GPS-enabled digital guide covers over 200 amazing walks of between 1 and 12 miles throughout Wiltshire and the surrounding areas.

Easily filter the walks by all walks, woodland walks, waterside walks, hill walking and walks with a pub on the route. You can also list the walks by distance from you at that time.

Detailed route maps then track your progress as you walk around and they all work offline, meaning no internet or 4G signal required when doing the walks.

Contour information on the maps show you the gradients of the walk to help you judge difficulty.

Send in feedback after each walk through the simple questionnaire so that we can improve the walk information in the app over time.

After your free trial, payment will be charged to your iTunes Account at confirmation of purchase. Subscriptions automatically renew unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24-hours before the end of the current period.

Once subscribed, your account will be charged for renewal within the 24-hour period prior to the end of the current period. Subscriptions are managed via your iTunes Account. Auto-renew can be turned off in Account Settings after purchase.

Great app for exploring!

I am loving this app the walks are so easy to follow, it’s opened up a whole load of walks for us and looking forward to seeing more added over time.
I would love it if you could mark a walk as done in the app so I can keep a record just so I can see which ones I have done so I can pick ones that I haven’t done before (I’m so forgetful!)

Thanks and we're glad you're enjoying it! We are considering some functionality for marking walks as complete, but our main worry is if you change device or re-install the app, it will lose your progress. We are working on it though :)

Needs to improve quickly

Just signed up for the months free trial and won’t be renewing.

I actually tried this on my iPad first so I could get a sense of the app.

When I clicked on the link for ‘walk information’ it took me to Spain! I did restart and faff about and eventually it did use my home location.

When you look at the map of the walk it is quite basic. You can zoom out and scroll to see the walk, but there are no place names of where the walk is starting from, and I would have found it helpful to see the walk in its entirety instead of needing to zoom out AND scroll. For me, I would have preferred seeing the whole walk with a significant place marker that gave me a sense of where I was walking.

Not everywhere has good internet connection and I would also have found it helpful to save a walk to my device and then access it while walking.

I may check back, but I am afraid the app will be deleted.

Hi David.

Thanks for your feedback and apologies for the problems you had.

The app is not designed to run on an iPad, so this might explain some of your issues (especially with Spain!). We will change the next update so it doesn't allow iPads to download it.

The app works totally offline so you do not need any internet connection at all when you are doing the walks - the route maps are stored in the app itself and it uses the satellite GPS to navigate.

Finally, the start point is always a parking spot as specified on the app and you can get directly to that parking spot by clicking the directions button (it links into your phone's map/sat nav).

Hope that helps and we hope you can revisit the app on an iPhone or Android device to see if it functions properly for you.

Extremely useful

Great for finding walks around a variety of routes without having to use an OS map. We would not have known that most of these walks existed if we didn’t have the app. Everything works well, particularly the ‘live’ location pointer: if you take a wrong path, it’s easy to see that you have deviated and you can backtrack.
