Want to Write, and/or be an Author?
…then, get this app, now. I’ve been putting off all of the great ideas I’ve had to write about. Until now. Using this app for 5 days in a row now, has got my writing and thinking going into overdrive. I cannot say more than this - it’s brilliant and highly recommended.
I emailed developer about something. Although he didn’t agree with point, he was very polite, professional and I still wanted to make full use of the app.

Needs a bit more
It’s a good start. Scripta offers a really good distraction free interface with clear word count. That’s two things I look for as a writer.
I also look for Apple extension menu support for getting text INTO Scripta e.g. from a transcription app (I’ll say more about that) and getting text OUT and into a repository like Obsidian or an editor like Ulysses. Scripta does not appear to support this by-now very standard addition to lShare menus.
And a writing app should give me more than one way to capture. I increasingly use transcription with some AI help to clean up the dictated draft. Scripta should offer this built in. So, not built in, I can resort to another app for the dictation bit — but then I hit up against the lack of share menu extension.
We wait in hope for further development!
Excellent
This really is an excellent App. I use it to draft all my letters and stories. I love the uncluttered screen and the app’s ability to provide you with a word count, reminders etc.
