Need help finding a home or pet sitter? TrustedHousesitters can help. Sure, the app might sound like a sitcom, but it’s a lot more sensible than that: it’s designed to find the right people to look after your home or your pet(s) when you’re going to be away.
The app works in two ways depending on whether you’re the owner or the potential sitter. If it’s the former you can advertise your requirements and browse the replies from verified, reviewed potential sitters – and when you’re away from home you can stay in touch using the app’s picture messaging feature.
Potential sitters can browse available sitting sessions from all over the world and filter the listings according to their preferences – so if you don’t get on with little dogs or think the lack of fast Wi-Fi is a deal breaker, you can break things down accordingly.
And just as owners can leave feedback about you, you can leave feedback about the owners so that future sitters know what to expect.
TrustedHousesitters is the kind of thing mobile devices do very well, and it solves two problems simultaneously: it helps owners find trustworthy sitters, and it enables people who can’t currently own pets to hang out in interesting new places with new furry friends.
