Remote Codetrol turns your iPhone, iPad, or Mac into a remote control for AI agents running on your Mac and Linux machines. Start with AI coding. Your Claude Code, Codex, or Copilot session runs on your Mac. Drive it from anywhere: review diffs, approve changes, leave inline comments, commit code. Save the commands you reach for daily as Quick Actions and trigger them in one tap. Then bring your private apps along. Anything you run on your Mac (or Linux) becomes a Managed Service that any paired device can reach: a dev server, an admin panel, a personal dashboard. No tunnels or public DNS. No login screen to build. The trust comes from the pairing you already did. Sprinkle in widgets for the services you check most. A widget is a tile-shaped html view of a service: build status, deploy state, a job's progress at a glance. Tap one and the full app opens behind it. Layer in your notes and tasks. Capture your thoughts for a particular project next to the code. Dispatch your agent to finish tasks or have it create tasks to tackle later. Hand the rest to Bots. Schedule them. Trigger them from a webhook. Chain AI prompts, shell scripts, and human approval steps into multi-step pipelines, with branching logic, live progress, and a full audit trail. Reach your Mac from anywhere. Cloud Relay forwards encrypted traffic between your device and server when they're on different networks, and steps out of the way for a direct connection the moment they're on the same one. Mutual TLS on both ends. No accounts or VPN setup. No cloud storage. No tracking. All of this is made possible by a single pairing. Install the Remote Codetrol server on your Mac (or Linux) and pair the devices you want to reach it from. Each paired device gets the same access to your services, widgets, notes, tasks, and AI sessions, with no accounts and no cloud in between. This is a huge release! We've added a ton of goodies! - Introducing notes! Create notes on any of your paired servers to preserve your thoughts. The Remote Codetrol skill allows AI agents to create notes for you, but not edit notes you've created or "taken over". - Introducing Tasks! Create tasks or have your agent create/work on them - Introducing Widgets! Widgets are html tiles that can display almost anything you need. A simple protocol is documented in the Remote Codetrol skill so your agent can build widgets that help you get work done! Tap on a widget and you can land on a full screen web-app served up from your Remote Codetrol server! The beautiful thing is that like everything else with Remote Codetrol, you don't have to think about infra, you can just build for localhost. Your pairing handles all the auth and everything is always end-to-end encrypted! - Introducing MCP! Remote Codetrol can now configure your MCP servers. You can attach them to sessions that you need so you can get more done with your agents! - Our bottom tab has changed. We tried to fit all the features into 5 bottom tabs, but we couldn't. Now we have a swipeable bottom tab (you can re-order the tab items via Settings).
