MyMoMo (New‪)‬ 17+

This app would have been the best ever app but for the non functional aspects of the interfaces. For instance, it is impossible to simply allow cash out in the event of cashing out from the momo agent. Again, during momo transaction (momo transfer to a momo user), selection of recipients from the contact list isn’t flexible at all. The contacts display do not correspond to the characters as is being typed.
Please work on these anomalies for a smooth function of the app.

The previous app was much better than this one. I tried purchasing airtime, and it’s been a real hassle. Selecting a contact is difficult now because of the in-app contact option. It was so much easier to open the phone’s native contact list, choose the number, and proceed with the purchase.

This new feature often gets stuck, and after struggling to select the number, it incorrectly says it’s an active MTN number when it’s not.

They’ve also removed the wallet-to-bank transfer feature, which was one of the best parts of the app. I think we should revert to the older version while improvements are made on this iteration.

I recently tried using this new app with my electronic SIM (eSIM) but was disappointed to find out that it doesn’t support eSIM functionality. The app requires a physical SIM card to be placed in the phone before you can even access it, which is quite inconvenient for those of us using phones with eSIM.

On top of that, I don’t understand why they would remove a perfectly functioning app from the App Store and replace it with this one that poses so many challenges. The previous version worked just fine. I hope the developers fix these issues soon!
