Ratings and Reviews
Exceptional
An exceptionally well-written gamebook - rather more book than game perhaps. Choices do not seem to alter the ultimate course of events as much as in other game books but this is understandable as this is essentially the classic tale - with some minor modifications. Its great strength is in the writing, the atmosphere, and the depth. One does not get this from fighting fantasy and the author is clearly a talented writer by any standard.
