Nan’s trifle and stuffing in one book by Christmas. Paste a link or a note, and TasteKeep turns it into a recipe you can send round the family before the big day.
TasteKeep is a private recipe book for iPhone and iPad. Your recipes stay on your devices and in your own iCloud, and you can export any recipe as a PDF or as text. Keep the recipes you already have, add new ones from a link, plan the week's meals from them and do the shop in one go, with a list sorted by aisle. Today's meals and the shopping list sit on your Home Screen as widgets. No account, no subscription.
KEEP YOUR RECIPES
Nan's notebook, favourites from your cookbooks, screenshots and recipes from the web, together in one book with photos and steps. Search by name or ingredient and the recipe is on screen in seconds.
ADD A RECIPE FROM A LINK OR A NOTE
Paste a link to a recipe page, or the text of a note, and TasteKeep fills in the title, photo, ingredients and steps. Check the recipe before you save it, then cook from it. In Safari, tap Share and choose TasteKeep: the recipe lands in your book.
MADE FOR iPHONE, iPAD AND iPHONE DUO
On iPad the list stays beside the recipe. On iPhone Duo, TasteKeep arranges the screen to suit the pose. Closed, the cover screen works like any iPhone. Opened flat, you get the list beside the recipe and the photo beside the steps. In the book pose the photo sits on one side and the steps on the other. In the laptop pose the step stays above the fold, with the timer and the buttons below it.
PLAN THE WEEK
Pick breakfast, lunch and dinner for the days ahead in a few minutes. Save a week everyone enjoyed as a template and bring it back whenever you like.
ONE LIST FOR THE WEEKLY SHOP
Turn a recipe or the whole week into a shopping list, sorted by aisle and scaled to the number of people at your table. Share the list with whoever's doing the shop.
TODAY'S MEALS ON YOUR HOME SCREEN
Two widgets: Today's Meals shows what to cook now and what's next in the day's plan, and on the Shopping List widget you tick items off without opening the app. A Control Centre button opens the list with one tap. On iPad, the largest widget shows tomorrow as well.
COOK WITH YOUR PHONE LOCKED
One step at a time in large type, with a timer for each step. The timer stays on the Lock Screen and in the Dynamic Island, so you can leave your phone locked while your hands are in the dough. When the time is up, the timer rings like an alarm, even in Silent mode (iOS 26 and later).
YOURS ALONE
No account and no ads. Apple's privacy label for TasteKeep reads ‘Data Not Collected’. Your recipes stay on your device and sync between your iPhone and iPad through your own iCloud, free of charge.
TASTEKEEP PRO
Pro unlocks the weekly planner, shopping lists built from your recipes and plans, separate lists you can share, and the Home Screen widgets with a Sunday reminder to plan the week. Pro is a one-time purchase that stays yours. No subscription.
This app has not received enough ratings or reviews to display an overview.
You can now group ingredients, so a Christmas cake keeps ‘For the marzipan’ and ‘For the icing’ apart. Groups show in the recipe and stay in shared images and PDFs. Import picks them up from websites and notes. On recipe sites it now skips ads and tips and finds the right ingredients and steps. Plus bug fixes and small improvements.
