• We fixed a problem that made the app close when opened on iPhones running iOS 27. • Internal stability improvements.

• If you don't have anyone on the other side yet, the button no longer sends an alert that reaches no one: it offers to call emergency services (your country's number), send your location by WhatsApp or SMS, or invite someone. • Sign-up helps you add someone: by WhatsApp, with a link, or by Telegram with nothing to install. And if you still have no one, the app reminds you the next day and three days later. • Next to the button you see how many people really hear you: those with the app and notifications on, or Telegram. • If your phone's notifications are off, the app tells you and takes you to turn them on, so you don't miss an alert from someone in your group. • Whoever created a group can now leave without deleting it for everyone else: the group stays and someone else becomes admin. «Delete» is still there to remove it for everyone.

What’s new in 1.24.0 A contact can stay in the phone book without being an emergency contact: switching off “Emergency contact” no longer removes the person. The user decides who gets their alerts and who doesn’t. Every notice carries an emoji for its level: SOS, heads-up or “it’s over”. A heads-up reaches contacts as what it is, not as an alarm. Wellness checks say “Finish” and “Continue”, and the “Something else” notice shows the text the user wrote. The confirmation screen counts the people who really receive the alert (with the app or via Telegram) and says so if nobody does. It used to count people with no phone registered at all. Notifications about what happens next (still in danger, not answering, it’s over, safe now) say what happened in the title, in each recipient’s language; the group name stays as it is. The same alarm no longer arrives twice on the same phone, and a notice lost on the way is retried once after five minutes. A drill closes on its own after three checks of the configured interval, instead of at a fixed hour. One update banner, which never sends you to the store while an emergency is open. Help, tips, FAQ, About and the intro describe the app as it is today: the three levels, the phone book, Telegram, the drill and the trail.

Your group keeps seeing you, even with the phone locked. While an alarm is open, your location keeps reaching your group with the screen off and the phone in your pocket. It used to stop after a few minutes, exactly when it matters most. When you close the alarm, sharing stops. It never happens at any other time. The map looks right again, after it had started showing a notice across it.

Permissions are explained one at a time, before being asked for. Until this version the system requested notification permission the moment the app opened, with nothing saying what it was for. Each permission now has its own screen: it explains what the permission enables and what is lost by declining, and only then does the system dialog appear. The decision always happens in that dialog, and declining does not prevent you from continuing. Inviting your group is a single link. It used to be two steps: a link to download the app and a ten character code to type by hand. The same link now works whether or not the app is installed. Sign in with Apple no longer fails on the first attempt. There was a race between opening Apple's window and listening for its answer: when the answer came back quickly the event was lost and the attempt ended in an error. After an alarm, the bell asks what happened. It is optional and produces no notification on the phone: it appears inside the app, and tapping it opens the alert with its map and the replies received. It distinguishes a real emergency from a drill or an accidental activation. Changing your email works again. The confirmation message arrived with an invalid link: the form accepted it, showed no error, and the address never changed.

The alert now sounds on iPhone even when the device is silenced. Apple reserves this permission for safety applications and granted it to PanicButton SOS. The first time this version is opened it is requested separately from the notification permission. If it is declined, alerts keep arriving as before. An alert that arrives without sound does not do its job. A silenced phone inside a bag is exactly the situation in which the recipient never notices that their group is looking for them. Also included since the last version published here: Trusted contacts. They receive the alert, see the location on the map and can respond, even without belonging to any of the sender's groups. Adding people by username rather than by phonebook. No group membership and no contact is established without prior approval. Response confirmation. When a member indicates they are on their way, the sender sees it instantly. Configurable escalation policy: how often wellness checks run, when trusted contacts are notified, and instructions for the group if there is no response. Automatic closing of alerts that nobody resolves. Interface in ten languages and notifications in eighteen. Redesigned Settings, with a search box. The Alerts section warns in red when there are no recipients able to receive the alarm. Drill mode to test the full circuit without generating a real alert. Operation on degraded connectivity: the app still opens, and alerts sent without coverage queue until they can be transmitted.

Novedades: • Mis lugares ahora con mapa: buscá una dirección, usá tu ubicación actual o arrastrá el pin para marcar el punto exacto. • Ponele el nombre que quieras a cada lugar (Casa, Trabajo o lo que sea) y editá la ubicación guardada cuando quieras. • El radio de cada lugar se ajusta desde 10 m. • "Mis lugares" ahora está en Configuración › Mi cuenta. Correcciones: • "Detectar por ubicación" es ahora un atajo más simple y tolera mejor el GPS en interiores; te avisa si quedás fuera de rango o sin señal. • Arreglamos un botón que se salía de la pantalla al eliminar un grupo.
