The product RECIGAR contains cytisinicline (1.5 mg) as its active ingredient.
Cytisinicline is a plant-based alkaloid with an action similar to that of nicotine. It acts selectively on the nicotinic receptors (α4β2) and competes with nicotine, gradually displacing it due to its stronger binding affinity. It increases dopamine levels in the brain, thereby alleviating the withdrawal symptoms of nicotine during the cessation process.
The treatment with RECIGAR lasts for 25 days. Each package contains 100 tablets, and the treatment protocol is designed to reduce nicotine dependence and help achieve gradual smoking cessation without withdrawal symptoms.
RECIGAR is derived from the seeds of the Laburnum plant and is considered as one of the most significant tools for the pharmaceutical approach to smoking cessation.
