Good Game but it’s also a shame

The overall game play is very nice and the idea of renovate a classic game in such a futuristic style is awesome. I really enjoy it.

Although, I’m having this strange issue that affects my game play experience. So basically in each level you have 3 objectives to complete, and it’s not always easy to complete them all in one go. And I suppose this is to attract players to revisit the levels to complete them, which makes sense.

Now, let’s say I played one level and could only complete 2 objectives, if I replay the level straight away and complete the last objective, there is no problem whatsoever, the game will still record my completion of the 3 objectives correctly.

However, the problem comes in when I choose to move on and come back at a later time. Not only the game won’t record any new completion of the 3 objectives, the game progress will even be reset back to the level I replay. This was so confusing when I first encountered it and it took me a while to figure out what’s going on.

If this behaviour is by design, then it really should warn the players about resetting the progress , otherwise this is a huge design flaw that greatly reduces the gameplay experience. (I tested this behaviour by having to go through the first three stages 3 times already and I’m not sure if I want to revisit any level again.

And if this behaviour is a defect, I simply can’t understand why no one has ever mentioned this in the review. This is really a nice game, it’s such a shame that no one would even bother to point it out? (Or perhaps it was just happening to me? I don’t know)

Anyway, I think it’s a very good game, people who are interested can still consider getting it. If you are not that bothered getting all objectives done on every single level, then the defect should affect you much, otherwise, just replay the level till you get them all clear before moving on and you will be fine.

I seldom write reviews, and I sincerely hope this message will get to the right party.
