The QR Code scanner improves support for multitasking on iPadOS.

The QR Scanner now features a completely revamped UI with a split-screen layout. Recent scans are displayed alongside the scanner, allowing check-in staff to monitor activity without leaving the scanning mode. Each scan includes detailed guest information such as confirmation status, plus-ones, guest lists, and seating assignments. All scan activity is handled locally, so the interface is not affected by check-ins from other devices. Additionally, scan receipts now include error messages and duplicate scan indicators to support better error tracking.

This update introduces full support for Temporal QR Code scanning, including new settings that allow you to customize scanning behavior for each event. Temporal QR Codes are Diobox’s proprietary, time-based codes designed to prevent misuse, such as screenshots or code sharing. Each code refreshes constantly and can only be used once, ensuring secure and verified check-ins.

Significant updates have been made to the internal database to support upcoming improvements in app performance and scalability. These changes lay the foundation for faster load times, better data handling, and overall system efficiency in future releases.

Fixes an issue that could cause the app to crash in certain cases when creating a new event.

This version significantly improves initial event loading performance, delivering up to 5x faster load times, particularly for events with over 1,000 guests.

This update introduces new features and improvements: - Offline search is now diacritic-insensitive, providing more relevant results when searching guest names with accents. - Key badge templates now include an additional line of text to print more event or guest information. - Fixed an issue where the badge preview did not update when the template was changed during manual badge printing.

You can now select a badge template before printing it directly from the guest profile or after scanning a QR code. Separate template selections for manually and automatically printing badges are also remembered. This feature saves time and offers greater flexibility in customizing badges.

A new “Form Name” field is now available for badge templates, allowing the form name to be printed directly on attendee badges. If a guest submits multiple forms, each form name will appear on the badge, separated by commas.

The Check-Ins & Activities section now includes a new “Analytics” page, providing a breakdown of all check-ins and sessions, organized by different guest statuses. This feature enables you to monitor general guest arrivals and gauge attendance at different event sessions in real-time.

This version includes major updates to the QR Scanner, adding session-based alerts and registration form filtering. You can now specify new restrictions when scanning guest QR codes based on different criteria. Additionally, there are enhanced ways to handle duplicate QR codes. For example, you can choose to display an alert only if a QR code is scanned more than once within the same session or activity. Several other improvements have been made around the point-of-sale (POS) system, including better visibility of cash and non-card payments on the guest activity records.

This version introduces the new Event Activities feature, which combines Event Sessions and Check-Ins into a unified experience. The Check-In button is now customizable, allowing any text to be displayed to suit various event activities, sessions, or even Check-Outs. This feature simplifies the management of all event activities in one place, ensuring a streamlined experience for events with multiple sessions or tracks.

The app now includes Point of Sale (POS) functionality. This update enables devices to function as POS stations, allowing users to process credit card transactions, accept cash and other forms of payment, and send email receipts in real time.
