Due date on closure You can now assign a due date when closing a task that previously had no date set. Favourite lists Adding lists to favourites creates shortcuts on the Calendar screen for quicker access to the list. Additionally, this feature can be utilised to filter tasks visible on the Calendar by selecting specific lists. Available in the list contextual menu. All open tasks Now, on the Calendar screen, you can view the total number of open tasks across all lists. Simply tap to access the detailed list of tasks. Day summary The number of completed tasks out of the total tasks for the selected day is now displayed at the bottom of the calendar. Tapping here will open the list of all tasks for the day. Swiping right or left will move to next or previous day. iCloud Enhanced with native iCloud integration, Next now performs automatic data synchronisation across all your compatible devices, ensuring your information is always up to date wherever you go. Pomodoro The Pomodoro Technique is a time management method developed by Francesco Cirillo in the late 1980s. It uses a kitchen timer to break work into intervals, typically 25 minutes in length, separated by short breaks. Accessible via the menu under the Today button on the Calendar screen. Accent colour Choose one of the 10 colours to be used as accent colour for all icons, buttons and other elements of user interface. Available under Settings - Appearance. Shortcuts Tap and hold Next app icon on your device's home screen to open the shortcuts menu, where you can create a new task quickly. Notifications actions When you receive a notification about any of your tasks, simply tap and hold it to activate the actions menu. From there, you can mark the task as completed or postpone it without opening Next. Bulk change At times, there is a need to update or modify multiple tasks simultaneously. This is where the 'Bulk change' function comes handy. Available under Tasks List main menu. Flagging improvements Enhancements to flagging are now complete as per your request. Recurring tasks deletion When deleting a recurring task, you can now specify whether to delete only one or all recurring instances of the task. Closed recurring tasks cleanup Enable cleanup to automatically delete past closed recurring instances of tasks older than 30 days. By removing outdated and unnecessary records, you'll effectively declutter your database, leading to improved efficiency and a cleaner record-keeping system. Recurring cleanup can be enabled on individual tasks when setting their recurrence schedule. Lists sorting Drag and drop lists within a group to arrange them in the desired order. Lists archiving Tap and hold a list to open a contextual menu, allowing to archive or unarchive the list. The visibility of archived lists can be managed from the main menu in the top right corner. List image Make your lists more fun and stand out by adding one of the AI-generated images available under the List menu. Files integration Attach any type of file directly from the Files app to Next via the standard iOS share menu. Files with .ics extension will be parsed automatically, reflecting their relevant data in the task. All other files will be added to the task as attachments. Tags merging Available under tag menu is a simple yet long-needed mechanism for merging tags, with an automatic update of tagged tasks. Remind at location Sometimes we need to remember something not on a specific date and time but at a specific location. Imagine you need to buy a new pack of paper for printer from a stationary shop but you don't know when you will go there next time. Just set location based reminder by inputting store address and you will get a reminder next time you go there. Spotlight search Open tasks directly from the device's Spotlight search. Simply begin typing the task title or details, and then tap on the matching results.
