The SmartSecure application is used as a mobile application for two-factor authentication when logging in to an application or service that wants to be additionally protected.
The application, which is protected by two-factor authentication, generates a QR code that is scanned by the SmartSecure application. In this way, the mobile SmartSecure application is paired with an application that is protected by two-factor authentication.
When the user logs into the application, a notification is generated for the SmartSecure mobile application. The user must confirm the login on the SmartSecure mobile application. With this procedure, an OTP is generated in the SmartSecure mobile application, and a message is sent to the protected application that the user has confirmed the login on the SmartSecure mobile application as well.
